  16. The "AMIGA Surfer" pack will hit the shelves at the end of January 1996.
  17.  
  18. The "AMIGA Surfer" consists of an Amiga A1200HD multimedia system fitted
  19. with 260MB hard drive and two megabytes of RAM, together with a complete
  20. suite of Internet software and a 14,400bps modem.  The package will be
  21. priced at approximately USD 720 (exclusive of VAT).  This complete
  22. solution from Amiga Technologies is the cheapest available plug & play
  23. Internet bundle.

  25. The Amiga A1200 is video-compatible and can be easily connected to a
  26. Television set, saving the additional cost of a monitor.

  28. Other Internet options soon to be available from Amiga Technologies
  29. include: the "Surfkit", a package consisting of the Internet software
  30. suite and modem, at an approximate price of USD 190 (excluding VAT).  A
  31. package call "Surfware" is also being planned which will provide the
  32. Internet software alone.

  34. All packs will include an option to connect to the IBM Internet Link and
  35. get 100 hours free connection.

  39. MUI3.2: Magic User Interface is an Amiga-OS extension that makes
  40. dedicated applications more ergonomic with a friendlier user interface.
  41. With MUI, the user can also customise and configure their applications
  42. individually.

  44. AS 225 R2: A new and completely reworked version of the original AMIGA
  45. TCP/IP software is provided.  This software handles the connection
  46. between the Amiga and the network.

  48. Mindwalker: The WWW Browser with MUI-support: A full featured graphical
  49. World Wide Web Browser that can handle forms, bookmarks, search
  50. functions, hotlinks and many more.

  52. AMIRC: The IRC Client with elegant MUI interface, gives access to the
  53. "Internet Relay Chat", where one can participate on-line and in
  54. real-time to discussion forums.  Several thousands of users meet here
  55. daily to discuss various topics.  Binary files can also be sent among
  56. users using AMIRC.

  58. AMFTP: The FTP Client also uses the MUI-extension.  The graphical
  59. interface of AMFTP makes the handling of files and directories from
  60. distant servers very effective and comfortable.  The program works as a
  61. file-manager and gives access to tremendous amounts of Amiga software
  62. available on the Internet.

  64. Voodoo: The included E-mail manager is a fully new development and
  65. supports the "Mime-standard" to send, receive and view graphics and
  66. other binary files easily.  UU-Encoded binary files are also supported.
  67. The advanced user interface of Voodoo helps to handle electronic mail
  68. quickly and easily.

  70. The Surfer pack also includes the popular Amiga Magic Bundle's
  71. productivity software of a wordprocessor, spreadsheet, database,
  72. organiser and graphic tools.
